TIMETABLE 2026–2027
Important Notes Regarding the 2026/2027 Timetable.
As Allegro approaches its 20th anniversary in 2027, we wanted this timetable to reflect the next stage of our journey. Over the past nineteen years Allergo has continued to grow, evolve and raise its standards.
Designed to provide stronger technical training, clearer progression routes and enhanced competition opportunities, the new structure will help prepare our students for the exciting years ahead while continuing to provide the supportive, welcoming environment that Allegro has always been known for.
Every change has been made with one aim: to provide the highest quality dance training and the very best opportunities for every student, whether they dance for enjoyment, train for examinations or aspire to compete at the highest level.
Whilst Miss Kelsey will no longer be teaching on the weekly timetable, she remains a valued part of the Allegro team and will continue to work with us on competition choreography during weekends and school holidays, as well as providing cover when required.
Teaching responsibilities for the new academic year are as follows:
-
Miss Lucy – Ballet
-
Miss Katy-Jane – Tap
-
Miss Lucy, Miss Katy-Jane & Miss Melissa – Modern Jazz
-

-

-
Miss Cheryl – Acro
-
Miss Hayley – Hip Hop
-
Miss Cassie – Drama & Singing
Contemporary
We’re excited to be introducing Contemporary classes for dancers aged 9+ as part of our 2026/2027 timetable. Contemporary has become an increasingly important genre within vocational training and competitions, and we’re delighted to be expanding our programme to include it.
Places are limited due to studio capacity. If you are interested in joining, please see the timetable below and contact us here to register your interest.
Competition Troupes
One of the biggest changes this year is the restructure of our competition troupe classes.
Over the past few years we have carefully reviewed what is required to compete successfully at the highest level.
Following our experiences at All England Dance, we have redesigned our troupe structure to better reflect the competition age categories and to give every dancer the strongest possible opportunity to succeed.
This isn’t just a timetable change, it forms part of a long-term development plan leading towards the 2028 All England National Finals. Every decision has been made with the dancers’ progression in mind, ensuring they receive age-appropriate choreography, training and performance opportunities whilst allowing us to build stronger, more competitive teams over the next two years.
As a result of aligning our troupe structure with the All England age categories, some dancers may find themselves in a different troupe from previous years or training alongside different classmates. These changes have been made to ensure each troupe reflects the correct competition age group and supports our long-term competition strategy.
As always, we ask families to trust our experience and the thought that has gone into these changes. Our shared goal is to provide the very best training and opportunities for every student, and we are incredibly excited about what this new structure will allow us to achieve together.
In addition to each troupe learning a full team routine, dancers may also be selected for smaller group routines, duets, trios and quartets where appropriate. These decisions are made based on choreography, strengths, age categories and competition requirements, ensuring dancers have the opportunity to contribute in the way that best suits them.
Our aim is to have all competition routines planned before we return in September, with choreography completed by February Half Term. This allows us to spend the remainder of the competition season refining, polishing and performing with confidence, rather than continually creating new work.
We are incredibly excited about what this new structure will allow us to achieve together. If you would like to revisit the commitment and expectations of being part of our Competition Troupes, please click here.
Dance Private Lessons
Private lessons remain one of the most valuable ways to support a dancer’s progress. However, with the continued growth of our competition programme and the addition of Contemporary classes, demand for private lessons now exceeds the teaching time available.
For this reason, private lessons will be allocated using an Active Competitor Priority system.
Rather than offering every competition student the same number of lessons, we will consider each dancer’s competition commitments throughout the season, ensuring every dancer receives the support they need, with lesson allocations reflecting each dancer’s level of competition commitment and coaching requirements.
Private lessons may therefore be:
-
Individual or shared with one or two other dancers where beneficial.
-
Scheduled on a fortnightly basis, as they currently are for most students.
-
Increased or reduced during the year depending on competition schedules and availability.
-
Offered at weekends or during school holidays where additional coaching is needed.
Our aim is to use the limited teaching time as fairly and effectively as possible, ensuring every dancer receives the support they need while giving priority to those with the greatest competition commitments.
